3) See a ballet at the Royal Opera House

Perhaps one of the greatest ballets that children can see is Frederick Ashton’s much loved rom com ballet La Fille Mal Gardée. A combination of colour, music, gaiety and super easy story to follow makes it a hit with children everywhere.

9) Go wild and get outdoors

Nature’s never far away. Find your closest outdoor space at gov.uk/find-your-local-park, discovernorthernireland.com, or mypark.scot. Locate a community garden or city farm near you at farmgarden.org.uk

10) Falling leaves

From woodland walks to arts and crafts, autumn is the very best time of year for children to have fun. Spend time outdoors stamping through the newly fallen crisp and colourful leaves, gathering them up as you go to bring home and turn into beautiful creations. Painting leaves and printing with them is one way of bringing the outside in, leaf rubbing with crayons, another.
