 Eagles Resort proudly announces its collaboration with the three-time Michelin awarded restaurateur, Apostolos Trastelis

We were on holiday last summer at the all-inspiring 5* resort, Eagles Hotel and Villas in Halkidiki, Greece. A place that has captured my heart, indeed, my entire family has fallen in love with. It maybe something to do with the nearby holy Mount Athos and the air of spirituality that abounds? Anyway, consequently, we had returned to renew our wedding vows.

Yet again, I was impressed, for not only was my heart recaptured, but this time, also my stomach! For the ever-soaring Eagles had opened a brand new restaurant, The panoramic Lofos. And the ammunition to that weaponry? The chef with three Michelin stars to his wonderfully Greek name! 

Born in Athens Apostolos Trastelis is one of the most highly esteemed restaurateurs in Europe, with high-end collaborations around the world. With a PhD from Medical School, National University of Athens under his belt, he started his first restaurant ‘Spondi’ in 1996. In 2002 he won the first Michelin and in 2008 his second. With his second restaurant ‘Hytra’ he won his 3rd Michelin star. He is now considered the most pioneering F&B consultant in Greece. How lucky are Eagles to have him? And how lucky were we to enjoy his incredible workmanship?

Eagles have a 0% product policy, using only excellent products from local producers and the monasteries of Mount Athos. The food is prepared with the freshest of products, the menu changing according to the seasons, not forgetting the chef’s imagination. Creative, traditional, modern and classic, eating at Eagles will leave you wanting more, and in my case, eager to return once again.
