Job Summary:
This family based in rural Aberdeenshire is seeking an experienced and adaptable nanny to provide long-term support for their two young children, aged 3 and 2. Both parents run a distillery business onsite and are in and out of the home throughout the day, so they are looking for someone confident working independently within a relaxed but busy countryside household environment.
The role is primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend support required on a paid basis. Rent-free accommodation is provided nearby, and the family is offering a competitive salary package for the right candidate. The ideal nanny will enjoy rural living, be flexible, organised, and comfortable around dogs.
General Duties:
- Sole-charge care of two young children aged 3 and 2
- Preparing healthy home-cooked meals for the children
- Supporting children’s routines, development, and activities
- General tidying and organisation relating to the children
- Children’s laundry and wardrobe organisation
- Occasional preparation of additional evening meals for the family
- Occasional weekend childcare support as required
- Maintaining awareness of the children’s egg allergy and use of EpiPen if needed
Candidate Specifications:
- Previous nanny experience with young children essential
- Comfortable working in a countryside/rural setting
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently
- Full driving licence essential
- Own car preferred, although a work vehicle is available
- Comfortable around dogs (two black Labradors at the property)
- Confident working within a family-run business environment
- Additional language skills would be considered a bonus
- Long-term commitment preferred
Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
