Summary

Incredibly versatile and extremely knowledgeable on baby development, Debbie is looking to share her impressive spectrum of knowledge with parents welcoming a single baby or twins

Upbeat and compassionate, Debbie has been involved in professional childcare for 27 years and is excited to join Eden to share her skills with new parents and growing families.  Debbie’s previous role working for Cornwall Council ignited her passion for newborn care.  Having spent 18 years working in close capacity with the Midwifery and Health Care teams, Debbie’s role involved delivery antenatal classes, health clinics and baby weaning sessions.  As her role evolved, Debbie worked with families within their homes to provide advice and support to families with their newborn.  Following a redundancy in 2018, Debbie seized the opportunity to utilise her incredible breadth of knowledge on baby and childhood development and began supporting families as a Maternity Nurse and has built an incredible reputation for caring for both single babies and twins and is looking to undertake roles throughout the UK and Overseas.

Alongside her degree in Early Years Childhood Studies, Debbie has remained up to date on the latest practices regarding newborn care and has achieved the nationally recognised Maternity Nurse Practitioners as well as training regarding the care of multiples and breast feeding support.  With a keen interest in baby development and working with parents to understand their baby’s natural rhythm, Debbie loves to share her knowledge with parents and support in setting a structure that works well for the whole family.  Utilising her previous experience as a breast feeding peer supporter, Debbie can confidently trouble shoot any issues that may arise and has a natural ability to gently support nursing mothers to build their confidence. Incredibly versatile, Debbie has previously cared for babies with tongue tie and premature twins and has proven herself to be a great source of support to mothers recovering from C-sections.  Proactive around the home, Debbie will support with household duties and takes pride in supporting the smooth running of the family home.
