Well regarded in her career as a Midwife, Maggie joins Eden after seeking a career change from the NHS. With over 23 years’ service as a Midwife, Maggie is looking to utilise her extensive knowledge supporting families as a Maternity Nurse. With practical experience working on the antenatal, labour and post-natal wards, Maggie is well equipped to support in all aspects of baby care and is looking to follow her desire of working with families on a live in basis in the early weeks of returning home with their newborn.
Passionate about providing family centred care to parents in the familiarity of their own home, Maggie’s gentle and reassuring style is perfect for clients looking to learn and develop their confidence caring for their newborn. Favouring a baby led approach to routine, Maggie will work with parents to build a structure around their baby’s natural rhythm. A fountain of knowledge on both breast and bottle feeding, Maggie worked closely with the Infant Feeding Team in her Midwifery role and can trouble shoot any issues that may arise. Confident to support babies that may require additional assistance, Maggie can instantly create a calm and stress free environment for parents and takes great pride in offering both practical and emotional support to clients as they navigate the early weeks of returning home with their newborn.
