Summary

A wonderfully experienced Maternity Nurse who can teach and guide parents with newborn care, working with single, twins and multiple babies with total confidence.

Marine has been working within professional childcare for 30 years, caring for young babies and children. Starting her career as a Paediatric Nurse, she spent 22 years working within the neonatal intensive care unit within a hospital environment. Her knowledge and skills with newborn and premature baby care is exceptional and she is confident in caring for babies who are experiencing post-birth complications. With a clear passion for the teaching aspect of her work, guiding new parents with the basics of childcare, building their confidence going forward.  After 22 years, Marine moved to working within private homes supporting families as a Nanny and a Maternity Nurse and is eager to continue working one-on-one with couples and their newborns.

To enable her to continue with providing the best level of care, Marine renewed her breastfeeding support training to bring her feeding knowledge up-to-date so that she can support and encourage those parents who are determined to progress and succeed with breastfeeding. With a preference to implementing flexible routines, Marine is adaptable in each different situation and will follow the lead of the baby and each individual family needs and lifestyle.  With Marine’s previous responsibilities as a Nanny, she will always include and interact with any older siblings, helping them to accept the new arrival to their home.  Confident with both single babies, twins and premature babies and those needing extra medical attention, Marine uses her extensive skills with troubleshooting issues such as reflux, colic, gastric feeding, and poor weight gain. Marine is attentive and considerate towards  mothers and has supported those who are struggling with breast pain, engorgement and mastitis and are feeding too frequently. As a native French speaker, she is confident dealing with a variety of cultural backgrounds and speaks fluent English.

Marine is looking for days, nights or 24-hour bookings with single babies and twins, anywhere in the UK and Overseas.
