A’s journey into maternity nursing began as a foster carer, predominantly for newborn babies,  during which time, she received two awards for “ Outstanding Achievement in Fostering “.  Working as part of a team to encompass the whole family, she had an annexe at her home where she welcomed new parents , so that they could stay with their babies.  One of her main roles was that of a maternity nurse ; teaching and guiding mothers with their newborn babies, from facilitating breastfeeding to providing simple newborn care. A has also completed doula training which includes instruction on breastfeeding and providing postpartum support. Her knowledge and experience provides new mothers with the guidance and support needed to ensure a successful feeding journey. She has helped mothers’ bond with their babies and establish routines to ensure the best possible outcomes for both mother and baby. As a mother of three herself, A understands the importance of a routine that works best for both the baby and the mother, developing a schedule that is suited to everyone’s needs.
