Gamekeepers

A gamekeeper will manage an area of countryside to make sure there is enough game for shooting, or fish for angling, and who actively manages areas of woodland, moorland, waterway or farmland for the benefit of game birds, deer, fish and wildlife in general.

They will have experience of managing land on a large scale and will typically manage estates to help prevent poaching, and to rear and release game birds including pheasants and partridge.

They will manage the game to ensure that any pests are eradicated.
